Program
Pacific International Academy, at Marylhurst University, is offering an exciting International Short Term Travel Study Program. Come to safe and beautiful Portland, Oregon in the Pacific Northwest for a fun travel-study experience. Students can stay from 1 to 4 weeks starting on July 17th – August 15th, 2010. This program includes 20 hours a week of English instruction as well as a wide range of fun activities, such as river rafting, a weekend trip to Seattle, visiting local waterfalls, and much more!

This is a great opportunity to experience the American lifestyle and culture. Students will have the opportunity of living with an American host-family. The families are excited to meet new students and show them the Northwest. Living with an American family is a great experience and a wonderful way to have fun and improve English skills.

Pacific International Academy is an accredited and experienced intensive English language school that has a highly qualified staff. Pacific International Academy has offered short term programs for the last 13 years with great success. We are looking forward to a wide range of students attending our international short term program from all over the world.

Application
In order to ensure succesful placement with a local host family, we ask that all applications for the summer be turned in at least one month before program start.

Note: the program runs 1, 2, 3, and 4 weeks during this date range. Students can stay for either 1, 2 or 3 weeks or for the full 4 week duration.

Activities
Up to four weekly activities will also be scheduled. Activities are optional and additional fees may apply per activity. Here is a copy of the scheduled acitivites. Please note that the schedule is subject to change.

Health Insurance is not available for this program so students will need to have their own coverage.
