Community English

Community English for Speakers of Other Languages at PIA

PIA’s Community English courses provide English language learners with opportunities to improve communication skills through meaningful conversations and discussion of engaging topics. Students will increase their fluency, expand their vocabulary, and develop greater confidence in using English to connect with others and participate in their communities.

Accreditation

Pacific International Academy is nationally accredited by the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education & Training (ACCET), a U.S. Department of Education recognized agency. We are listed in the Database of Accredited Postsecondary Institutions and Programs. Our DAPIP ID # is 200590.

Course Schedule

PIA offers beginner, intermediate, & advanced classes that meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-9:00 PM. Classes are offered in 10-week terms in the fall, winter, and spring. Students can receive 25 hours of classroom instruction during each of the three terms. All are welcomed to come learn and practice English together.

Cost

Classes cost $180 per term.

Certificate of Completion

Students will receive a certificate of completion after each 10-week term that includes hours of attendance. These are non-credit classes. Students will not receive grades. They will receive progress reports with their record of attendance.
